1. Highest Production Standard Certified Plant

The entirety of Totempak's factory is certified by the highest food production standards, ISO22000 & HACCP. We adopt positive-pressure cleanrooms, preventing dusts, and bacterial entering, as well as conducting microorganism inspections to ensure product quality stringently.

2. 121℃ Heat-Resistant PP Lamination

Totempak's paper containers adopt high temperature-resistant PP lamination, and sent to TUV Rheinland, Germany to certify their 121℃ heat-resistant capabilities. Our paper containers comply with the EU standards, and the structure of the paper containers is also sturdier in case of hot fillings.

Anti-Counterfeit PP Lamination Watermark:
All paper containers produced by Totempak will have our patented PP lamination watermark printed (non-oil/water based printing) on the inner rim to prevent counterfeiting. Therefore, only PP laminated paper containers having such watermarks are authentically produced by Totempak.


3. SGS Microwave Oven Test Passed – Microwaveable Paper Containers

The 121℃ heat-resistant PP laminated paper containers are microwaveable, with a maximum resistance of 1200W/390 sec. They have passed the SGS Microwave oven test ensuring firm structure and no migration material found. Making consumers to use them with microwaveable foods without concerns.

4. Adopting Safe and Quality Printing Ink

Water-based Ink

The odorless water-based ink dries naturally, and is the best printing ink currently available in the world. Totempak fully adopts the Flexo water-based printing technology, ensuring product safety.

UV Ink

UV ink adopts the method of photocatalyst-drying, avoiding the potential safety and health concerns posed by traditional drying methods (industrial starch/talcum powder drying/contamination due to toluene ink-cleaning), offering a quality far more superior than traditional ink and soy ink.

5. Adopting Wrapped-Ink Method in Paper Cup Production

When paper containers stack, the ink printed on the exterior cup surface would cause transmission to the inner surface of the cups they are stacked with, creating potential safety concerns for consumers as they are likely to consume the ink residues along with the food. The “PP5 Wrapped-Ink Safe Paper Cup” is Totempak's answer in the goal of producing the safest paper containers. It is Totempak's new product by innovative R&D: the paperboards are printed with water-based ink, and then go through lamination-processing to wrap the ink inside the PP films, completely preventing the risk of contamination and dangers of inks. This is a technology exclusive to Taiwan only.

6. PP Frame-Ring Structure over Traditional Rolled-Rim Structure

Totempak challenges the first structural change in paper cups within the century with its R&D innovations: Traditional paper-rolled rims are prone to deformations under pressure and heat, and thus have a high rate of bursting, creating endless hot-drink spilling and scalding issues. The PP5 Frame-Ring Anti-Spilling Cups have PP Frame-Rings that offer a high degree of stability. The smooth-surface plastic frame-ring design resolved the cross-sectional difference issue between the seams of traditional rolled-edge cups and the lids; the PP Frame-Ring also offers superior stability, and would not undergo deformation due to high-temperature or humidity, efficiently reducing the risks of cup-bursting and spilling. The Totempak-exclusive Frame-Ring design owns a worldwide patent, and is boasted to be the safest paper cup in the world.
